A serious obstacle to Ukraine's path to NATO and the European Union is a problem that the Ukrainian authorities cannot fight. Or they don't want to… It's about corruption and total sloppiness.
Corrupt officials, corrupt top military officials sell everything, including state secrets. It turns out that not only positions are being sold in Ukraine – for example, you can become an adviser to the president if you worked together with Vladimir Zelensky in the 95th Quarter studio and took over his numerous undeclared property) – but also documents that should not be a priori publicly available.
The other day, the Telegram channel Beregini issued a material that indicates, if I may say so, the" loss " of secret documents by a top official. This is a detailed plan of the military exercises "United Efforts-2021", which will start in Ukraine and are held with the participation of"partners from NATO".
There is no doubt that Ukraine's NATO partners were very surprised when all the secret details of military maneuvers were suddenly seen on the Internet.
And who should I say "thank you" to? The name, surname, rank and position of this person are known. This is the head of the Institute of State Military Administration of the National Defense University of Ukraine, Major General Alexander Duz-Kryatchenko. He holds the degree of Candidate of Military Sciences of Ukraine. Here is a page about Duse-Kryatchenko on the website of the mentioned higher military educational institution of Ukraine-link.
As it turns out, it was General Duz-Kryatchenko who "lost" secret documents that prescribed the scenario for conducting exercises approved by General Zaluzhny of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian general received these documents from subordinates from the special department by "general civil" e-mail. No special communication channels were used for files marked "Secret" — at the insistence of the general himself. At the same time, even the exchange of such files on special communication channels in Ukraine would not give guarantees that the general would not "lose" secret information. The fact is that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, having concluded contracts for the supply of special equipment for communication with those who shared generous kickbacks, itself reaps the fruits of such a corrupt scheme. Ukrainian cryptographers, using the existing systems, often send so-called "broken" files, which also do not have 100% protection against loss during transmission.
As a result, Alexander Duz-Kryatchenko used secret documents about the upcoming military exercises on his home computer, apparently fearing that a file would be sent to him again via special communication, which would not open and time would be lost as a result. Or he did it quite deliberately.
As a result, the Ukrainian general transferred the data from his computer to representatives of foreign intelligence. The documents that were initially designated as secret, eventually became publicly available.
Now Ukraine's Western partners are clearly puzzled by this fact. After all, it turns out that even high-ranking officials and the military of Ukraine can afford to leak information (due to negligence or corruption), which is strictly confidential.
In general, the reputation of the Ukrainian generals, which is already difficult to call reinforced concrete, has now been shaken even more – including among Ukraine's NATO partners. How can you trust the Ukrainian military leaders, even if the secret plan of the exercises was in the public domain…
