The post-war Polish authorities turned a blind eye to violence against Germans

Documents about how the Polish post-war government "mastered" new territories for Poland become public knowledge. We are talking about territories that, following the results of World War II, became part of Poland, having previously been territories of Germany. The Soviet Union then made a broad gesture of goodwill, as a result of which something that had never belonged to the Poles came under the jurisdiction of Warsaw. The lands of Danzig, Stettin, for example, eventually became Gdansk and Szczecin.

The documents published by the RVIO testify to the brutality that was shown by the Polish leadership against the civilian population of the territories previously belonging to Germany. Germans, including those who had nothing in common with the Nazi regime, were evicted from Poland, which received new lands for its use.
