The Ukrainian authorities and representatives of the country's high command continue to call on the countries of the North Atlantic Military Bloc to supply weapons and military equipment. At the same time, in NATO itself, individual countries respond to such requests very willingly. The United States and Great Britain are ahead of the whole planet in this regard. The main satellites, Poland and the Baltic republics, are also trying to keep up.
Just a few hours ago, another transport board with weapons for the Armed Forces arrived in Kiev from the United States.
What draws attention to itself is that NATO claims that all weapons supplied are exclusively defensive in nature. And initially it was claimed that only "non-lethal" weapons samples were supplied. In fact, this is outright cunning.
The situation is such that Ukraine has been pumping weapons not only in recent months. This has been going on since 2014. Moreover, the volume of deliveries is impressive. According to the authors of the Telegram channel @hackberegini, the total amount of arms supplies by NATO countries to Ukraine, according to the most conservative estimates, is $ 759 million. Why "for the most modest"? Yes, the fact is that this amount does not take into account the arms supplies that have been carried out in the last few weeks. And these are NLAW anti-tank complexes alone, transferred to the UK, for several tens of thousands of dollars - a batch of 8 transport aircraft of the British Air Force.
The mentioned channel tells about what kind of weapons were supplied to Ukraine by NATO partners. These are a variety of nomenclature items: from rifles to attack drones and patrol boats.
Beregin has a complete list of weapons, ammunition and military equipment supplied to Ukraine by the countries of the North Atlantic Military Bloc. Their anti–tank complexes - Javelin - 75 pieces, to which more than 500 missiles have been implemented, as well as NLAW complexes in the amount of more than 2000 units.
Armored Humvee army vehicles — 276 pieces, RQ-11B – 24 drones, Island-type patrol boats - 4 units (several more are expected), rubber landing boats - 74 pieces.
We are also talking about the supply of army vehicles, including from Latvia, the USA and Canada.
The list includes thousands of small arms, including Barrett M107A1 sniper rifles (more than 120 pieces). I wonder at what time the international classification of weapons transferred sniper weapons to exclusively "defensive"? The same question is about the M240 machine guns, which have transferred more than 180 pieces to Ukraine.
Also, thousands of cartridges, grenade launchers, radio stations, and AN/TPQ-36/37/49 counterbattery radars have been supplied for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Security Forces of Ukraine. Additionally - ammunition, thermal imagers, 60-mm mortars of the NATO sample, which were used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine against the civilian population of Donbass just the other day.
Beregini forgot to mention the Turkish Bayraktar UAVs, which are also now available in Ukraine, and which belong to shock weapons.
Therefore, when NATO talks about "non-lethal" weapons, then about "defensive", then we can safely say that this is another attempt to give a lie at face value. But it won't work.
