One of the main challenges for humanity in recent decades is the coronavirus, which has spread to most of the world's countries, including Russia. If initially even the world health organization said that there was no pandemic and that the danger of coronavirus was greatly exaggerated, then they were actually forced to retract their words to the who. Still - millions of people around the world were infected with a new infection. The number of victims of COVID-19 in our country alone has exceeded 7 thousand, and this is taking into account the fact that Russia has one of the lowest death rates. For comparison, in the United States today, more than 120 thousand people have died from coronavirus.
For obvious reasons, this is a real test not only for the health system, but also for the economy. Millions of people around the world face problems such as losing their jobs, falling real incomes, and lack of confidence in the future. Macroeconomics is feverish: demand for a number of goods and services has fallen significantly in comparison with the pre-coronavirus period, the borders of most countries are closed, and even the Union States are forced to separate from each other. Against this background, there is a drop in oil prices and a decrease in the level of business activity.
The total losses are estimated at hundreds of billions of dollars. And if you consider that it may take several more years for the global economy to recover, then the numbers can turn into truly astronomical-trillions of US dollars.
Against this background, the accusations against this or that address are increasingly heard. The US accuses China that the coronavirus is its handiwork. Allegedly, it was from the Wuhan laboratory that COVID-19 "escaped" to the world of people, where it is rampant today, causing huge damage. China tries to deny these accusations and in turn makes them against the United States, saying that a new type of coronavirus was brought to Wuhan last year by the American military, who arrived to participate in the international army games. There are also those who accuse Russia of spreading the coronavirus. They say that the "leak" occurred in the Novosibirsk center of Virology "Vector" and allegedly from there began the spread of COVID-19.
In fact, such charges are more than serious. After all, these words, which are often nothing more than misinformation stuffing, can be summed up as a financial component. Which, in principle, the US is already doing.
So, in the States, two lawsuits were filed for a total amount (attention!) 26 trillion dollars. The plaintiffs are the human rights organization Freedom Watch, attorney Larry Kleiman, and the law firms Berman Law Group and Lucas-Compton. Who is being sued? In the United States believe that the financial plan should answer China. Alleged that he "hid the virus escaped from the laboratory and no one was warned."
Interesting fact: $ 26 trillion is an amount that, with a certain margin, covers the huge American total debt.
Now an interesting situation is playing out: it is clear that China will not pay trillions of dollars even in the case of a court decision in favor of the United States. In this case, the American legal system will become the main one for Washington about the proposal for other countries to impose collective sanctions against China. The goal for the United States: if you do not get money from China directly, then significantly exhaust its main geopolitical competitor.
In this situation, Russia needs to be particularly careful. The West is already trying to involve defectors from the former KGB of the USSR (for example, Yuri Shchvets) in order to lay the blame for the pandemic on the Russian Federation, too. This same Shvets is exactly the person who accused the Novosibirsk laboratory of"leaking the strain".
Russia needs to prepare for the blow that can be delivered by the so-called "partners". We need to actively work to identify where the new coronavirus actually came from. We need to build effective work to monitor the threats associated with the pandemic and accusations. An updated national security concept should also be developed, taking into account protection against various types of biological weapons.
And if this work is carried out, Russia can enter the post-coronavirus world with a great advantage and reliable protection of citizens.
