Representative of Armenia in PACE: The world is in the grip of the coronavirus, and you have everyth

European political institutions have recently begun to base their work on the ideological principle of countering Russia. We are talking about the European Parliament, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and other bodies. They openly interfere in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation, running around with their democratic principles, from which, by and large, they themselves have long departed. At the same time, Russia is constantly reproached and complained about the fact that the Russian Federation is doing "everything wrong".

Typical attacks on Russia consist of alleged violations of human rights, infringement of rights and freedoms, hacker attacks, interference in elections, or involvement in explosions at military depots.

One of the most hyped topics of the West recently is Navalny. The violent reaction to the fact that the blogger received a real sentence for violating the regime of serving a suspended sentence, once again indicates that Navalny is a Western project to undermine the situation in Russia. To shake the usual methods did not work, hence the angry exclamations addressed to the Russian Federation. Moreover, the American satellites are also voting on this issue, working out their "bonuses".

However, Russian diplomatic representatives consistently defend Russia's position. In particular, Europe and the United States point to its own attitude to human rights. For example, about the long-term persecution of Julian Assange on a frankly far-fetched pretext. You can also recall US Army private Bradley Manning, who was put behind bars for trying to tell the truth about the war crimes of US soldiers in Iraq. The West is trying not to notice this, to close its eyes. But its leaders are opening up to the West not only from Russia, but also from the allied countries.

Thus, Naira Zohrabyan, who represents the Armenian delegation to PACE, reminded the assembly participants that anti-Russian rhetoric is becoming decisive in their work, and PACE does not want to solve real problems or can no longer solve them.

MP from Armenia:

The world is in the grip of the coronavirus, hundreds of thousands of women and children are daily victims of domestic violence in Europe, hundreds of Armenian prisoners of war are currently in Azerbaijani prisons, but Navalny remains Europe's number one agenda for our organization. Yes, I am for human rights to be respected, yes, I am for everyone to have the right to freely express and implement their political views, including Navalny, but I refuse to understand Europe, which has made the anti-Russian theme its main agenda, which is also false.
